UNC Fertility Fellows
Dr. Leah Bressler
Dr. Bressler was raised in Southeastern North Carolina and attended UNC as a Morehead scholar. At UNC, she studied Biology and conducted public health research in Southern and Eastern Africa. She obtained her MD and Masters in Public Health at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health. She then moved to Chicago to complete Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at Northwestern University, where she was elected Education Chief Resident. Her research interests are lifestyle factors and fertility, endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids, and reproductive epidemiology. She is very excited to be back in her home state and training at UNC Fertility.
Dr. Sarah Moustafa
Dr. Moustafa is the newest member of the UNC Fertility team. Dr. Moustafa completed her Bachelors in Biology at UNC Chapel Hill before going on to Duke University to earn her medical degree. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale University, where she served as Education Chief Resident and assisted in the design and implementation of an abnormal pap smear tracking program to her improve patient outcomes. She is excited to be part of the UNC Fertility team of Reproductive Endocrinology fellows and to continue to pursue her interests in endometriosis, recurrent pregnancy loss, and endometrial receptivity.
