Dr. Bruce Pier is proud to join UNC Fertility, and brings more than 10 years of experience in fertility and reproductive care to the team. Dr. Pier is Board Certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He completed his residency training at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma Washington and his fellowship training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
During his medical training and military service, Dr. Pier has been recognized with several awards and honors for his research and superb patient care. Dr. Pier has also published several articles in the field of reproduction during this time.
Dr. Pier has continuing research interests, including safety and efficacy of fertility treatments, exploration of new modalities of infertility treatment, and the effects of pollutants and toxins on reproductive health. His hope is to be part of healthy family building for all patients and partners under his care.
