National Infertility Awareness Week is celebrated during the last full week of April every year. This year it takes place from April 23rd through 29th. NIAW was started by RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association in 1989 as a movement to raise awareness for infertility and the many causes.

There is plenty of misinformation regarding infertility and the NIAW movement aims to clear up much of the confusion and show support for those dealing with fertility struggles. To learn more about RESOLVE’s commitment to infertility awareness and how to get involved, visit the NIAW website.

Next week, UNC Fertility Center will be sharing ways that you can get involved and show your support for NIAW!

If you think you may be experiencing fertility issues, schedule an appointment with your doctor to get checked. If you are someone who is looking to begin fertility treatment, contact the UNC Fertility specialists today!
