Your First Visit
Our ultimate goal is to provide unsurpassed medical and emotional support to give you the best chances of conceiving a healthy baby. The journey to this goal begins with the first visit. During this time our physicians, nurses and administrative staff will get to know you and your partner. This visit usually lasts approximately 1 ½ hours. One hour of this time is spent in a one-on-one consultation with your physician, who will discuss your medical history, determine any testing that you will need, begin creating a customized treatment plan and answer any questions that you may have. We may also perform a physical exam, a vaginal ultrasound and perform blood work. Your physician may recommend a uterine X-ray called an HSG (Hysterosalpingogram) to detect any structural abnormalities in the fallopian tubes or uterus.
Testing the Male Partner (when applicable)
Since 50 percent of infertility problems can be linked to male medical conditions, discovering and treating any issues early in the process can help you achieve pregnancy much sooner. Your physician may recommend a test called a semen analysis to analyze the quality and quantity of sperm.
Your Unique Treatment Plan
As each patient has different needs, each treatment plan is customized to address those unique needs. The time it takes to create a plan and begin treatment will vary accordingly. After evaluating your medical history and your test results, your physician will provide a recommendation and treatment can begin.
