When Dr. Linnea Goodman was completing her residency in OB/GYN at the University of North Carolina, she fell in love with the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. As a physician who was passionate about surgery and the amazing feeling of helping patients achieve their dreams of family, the field seemed like a perfect fit.
After completing her residency at UNC, she went on to complete the fellowship in REI that would allow her to help those struggling to have a baby at the Cleveland Clinic. Now, after completing her fellowship and gaining some experience at her former practice, she has come back to Raleigh – an area she’s loved since her residency days – and to UNC, where she first discovered her passion for the field of infertility.
A Tailored Approach to Fertility Care
Dr. Goodman believes in tailoring a patient’s care to their unique situation, as each patient’s infertility journey is unique. Experienced in both minimally invasive surgery and advanced reproductive technologies, Dr. Goodman helps patients choose the treatment option that is the least invasive while still helping them build the families of their dreams.
When it comes to surgery, she specializes in hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, two minimally invasive surgeries that allow her to diagnose and treat issues that could prevent a woman from having a successful embryo implantation or pregnancy – whether it’s fibroids, endometriosis, or any other issues with the uterine cavity. Her goal with these surgeries to give her the information and access she needs to help her “restore a person’s natural anatomy in the gentlest manner possible.”
Dr. Linnea Goodman is now available to see patients at UNC Fertility and cannot wait to begin helping couples in our community achieve their dreams of family. If you would like to schedule a consultation with Dr. Goodman, contact us at 919-908-0000 or schedule an appointment here.
