Dr. Mary Peavey was raised in Austin, Texas and attended college at Duke University. After receiving her MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, she returned to North Carolina where she completed her residency in OB/GYN at Duke University Medical Center. After completion of her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Peavey was excited to return to North Carolina at UNC Fertility.

Dr. Peavey is double board-certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), as well as the Society for Study of Reproduction (SSR). She is widely published in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and is the recipient of numerous honors and awards.
